Test sewing terms — please read!!!
I take 1-3 test sewists per size. Testers are selected based on applicants' experience and the quality of their photos of finished projects on Instagram. You must have a public Instagram account to test, and you must be willing to post pictures of yourself (or a friend) wearing the completed piece. At the completion of the test, testers receive compensation in the form of a copy of the final pattern and a coupon to download any one additional pattern of mine for free (this coupon will not expire and is good for any of the knitting or sewing patterns sold through my website). Testers who complete their piece and post pictures in time will be featured in the sizing post on my blog when the pattern is released, which will link to their IG account (and blog/website, if available). Testers are encouraged to use whatever fabric they would like — I prefer to see a wide range of fabrics (at different price points and in different fibers) in my tests.
The pattern has been professionally tech-edited, proofed, and sewn by me multiple times before the test sew. I do not expect test sewists to edit or find errors (although I am grateful when they point them out to me). My main concerns are instruction clarity and testing for any fit/adjustment issues. I release a pattern to test sewists only when I am confident that the pattern will produce the promised result, even if it requires a few adjustments/clarifications along the way. I run my tests like intimate MALs with immediate pattern support in an environment of jovial camaraderie with other testers.

TIMELINE: you will receive the pattern by July 5 and the piece must be completed and final survey submitted by July 19 (2 weeks for test).
About the pattern
Gatherer is a sleeveless dress and top pattern designed for drape and drama in lightweight fabrics. This simple yet full silhouette is easy to wear on its own, layered over a bodysuit, or styled under a cozy pullover. Choose from a slightly cropped top, a midi dress with a high-low dip hem, or a floor-length maxi dress, and finish it with closed or tie straps. The pattern includes 12 sizes, fully illustrated instructions, guidance for common adjustments, and 2 original video tutorials.
