HEXY: a super versatile all-over mesh top
Did you know knitting could be this hot??? This all-over mesh top is ready for whatever heat your summer brings — dance parties in the sun, cute picnic dates at the park, late night revelries during pride. Wear it on its own, layered over a tank or a binder (or a swimsuit!), or layered under a strappy sundress or a pair of overalls.
The design features top-down, seamless construction, and the pattern includes instructions for sleeveless, short sleeve, and full sleeve versions, optional thumbholes, common fit adjustments, and 6 original video tutorials to be sure you get all the details just right!

YARN SPOTLIGHT: The Wandering Flock Cotton Lino
This pattern was designed in the Wandering Flock Cotton Lino, a sport weight 35% Organic Cotton/30% Mulberry Silk/20% Linen/15% Alpaca yarn. This sweet summer yarn has some structure and in-elasticity from the plant fibers but a beautiful sheen and drape from the Alpaca and silk. The unique fiber blend makes Cotton Lino well-suited for projects from fingering through DK weight — which, similarly, the mesh stitch in this pattern means that it can be successfully knit in fingering through DK weights, so long as you adjust your needle sizes to get gauge!
I was so lucky to host an in-person test knit for this design at Black Squirrel, my local yarn shop in Berkeley, California. I had a truly amazing group of test knitters who showed up every week to knit together, share pattern feedback with me, and laugh around the community table at the shop.
I am also so grateful to my dear friend Live Graff for letting us host the photoshoot at their gorgeous, queer as fuck gym in Oakland, California. Thank you so much Good Gym!
