THE SIZING CLINIC

Learn to knit sweaters that fit

Course curriculum

This hands-on workshop walks you through everything you need to know to pick your best size before you cast on your next (or first!) sweater project. The class is designed for students to work through each of the lessons while referring to a pattern of their choosing that they plan to knit (by any designer!).

By the end of this class, you will know how to take your own accurate body measurements, make and interpret a gauge swatch, understand the sizing information in a knitting pattern, and choose your best size, especially when you find yourself between sizes.

About the instructor

Jaq Cieslak is an Oakland-based knitwear designer with 15 years of teaching experience. This class, like all their work, is framed by their perspective as a fat, nonbinary knitter with a commitment to body & gender neutral instruction.
