COMMON ADJUSTMENTS

Create your own adjustments to get a custom fit

Course curriculum

This class teaches you how to evaluate if/when you need to work some of the most common fit adjustments in knitting, understand how the adjustment works, and calculate the numbers to work the adjustment according to the fit you want.

The class includes my original Sweater Adjustment Guide to walk you through best practices for planning an adjustment, as well as worksheets with formulas for 3 of the most common adjustments in knitting: a custom fit sleeve, horizontal bust darts, and A-line hip/belly shaping. All the videos are time-stamped to match the adjustment formula worksheets, making it especially easy to find step-by-step guides for specific adjustments whenever you need them when working a new pattern.

About the instructor

Jaq Cieslak is an Oakland-based knitwear designer with 15 years of teaching experience. This class, like all their work, is framed by their perspective as a fat, nonbinary knitter with a commitment to body & gender neutral instruction.
